On 8 Aug 2020, Tan Cang Hai Phong International Container Terminal (TC-HICT) successfully welcomed the 1st voyage of mother vessel APL CAIRO deployed by CMA CGM. As one of two vessels with the capacity of 2,500 TEU, she replaces the 1,700 TEU vessels previously operated on the HS1 service. With the new rotation: TC-HICT - Nam Hai Dinh Vu - Da Nang - Ho Chi Minh City - Singapore - Port Klang, it meets the fast growing demand for import export cargo in Vietnam.
Amid the complicated situation of Covid-19 pandemic, negatively affecting the global economy, the deployment of the new service demonstrates the tremendous support and trust of CMA CGM & customers’ in TC-HICT’s services. This event does not only mark the prosperity in production and business in the North but also affirm the capability and service quality at TC-HICT.

Tan Cang Hai Phong International Container Terminal (TC-HICT) – a joint venture between Saigon Newport Corporation, MITSUI O.S.K Lines Ltd. (Japan), Wan Hai Lines Ltd. (Taiwan) and ITOCHU Group (Japan), has started operation since May 13th, 2018. TC-HICT is the first deep-sea terminal of Northern Vietnam’s key economic region.
