Sharing the joyful atmosphere to celebrate the 65th anniversary of Hai Phong's liberation, Tan Cang Hai Phong International Container Terminal (TC-HICT) is celebrating the 2nd anniversary of opening, marking a milestone to look back on all the achievements, which been accomplished during the past two years.

On May 13th, 2018, TC-HICT solemnly held “The grand opening ceremony of Hai Phong International Container Terminal” with the attendance of the Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and representative of Japanese government, ministers of industries, heads of provinces, cities and domestic and international enterprises. It has been two years since the day TC-HICT welcomed the Wan Hai 517 vessel – the first vessel ever calls the terminal. Looking back on that journey, although TC-HICT still faces many difficulties and challenges, TC-HICT has constantly grown and developed, increasingly asserting the capacity, stature and position of an international seaport: Receiving 570 vessels with a total throughput of nearly 700,000 TEU; cooperating with more than 20 domestic and foreign shipping lines and more than 500 enterprises, logistics companies, forwarders. In order to achieve such encouraging results thanks to the support of customers, authorities, the close instructions of Saigon Newport Corporation and especially the great contribution of terminal’s officers and employees. Within 02 years, the terminal has completed the organizational structure, fully equipped with new synchronized equipment, welcomed new direct service to the Americas on mother vessels with a capacity of up to 132,900 DWT, ensuring top service quality with the use of Eport software to help customers register for goods and make payment online via the Internet from the beginning, deploying Edo with shipping lines to continue to bring more benefits for customers.

Two years is not a long journey but it is a memorable one for the terminal to look back on past difficulties, appreciate the achievements and continue to innovate, reshape, evolve to stride firmly on the road ahead, bringing the best and most advanced services to customers, affirming the position of the largest deep-water terminal in the North of Vietnam.
